Mahatma Gandhi was a great patriotic Indian, if not the greatest. He was a man of an unbelievably great personality.

(1)Born:-Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi2 October 1869Porbandar, Porbandar State, Kathiawar Agency, British Raj.

(2)Died:-30 January 1948 (aged 78)New Delhi, India.(gunshot wounds) Nathuram Vinayak Godsewas the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi. He shot Gandhi in the chest three times at point blank range in New Delhi on 30 January 1948.[1] Godse was a Hindu nationalist from Pune, Maharashtra,[2] a member of the political party, the Hindu Mahasabha,[3] as well as a former member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu paramilitary volunteer organization.

(3)Contribution :-First of all, Mahatma Gandhi was a notable public figure. His role in social and political reform was instrumental. Above all, he rid the society of these social evils. Hence, many oppressed people felt great relief because of his efforts.

(4):-stop non cooperation movement:-Mahatma Gandhi decided to stop the Non-cooperation movement. This was due to the infamous Chauri-Chaura incident. There was significant violence at this incident. Furthermore, Gandhiji was strictly against any kind of violence.

(5)Legacy of Mahatma Gandhi:-Mahatma Gandhi has influenced many international leaders around the world. His struggle certainly became an inspiration for leaders. Such leaders are Martin Luther King Jr., James Beve, and James Lawson. Furthermore,
Gandhi influenced Nelson Mandela for his freedom struggle. Also, Lanza del Vasto came to India to live with Gandhi.
