15th August 1947 is the day embossed in the golden history of India. It is the day when India got its freedom from the 200 years of British rule.
(1) History :-The East India Company ruled India for about 100 years. It was in 1757 when the East India Company won the battle of Plassey. It was after the win went the Company started exerting power over India. Our nation had its rebellion against the foreign rule for the first time in 1957.
(2) Indian freedom fighters:-India couldn’t have gained independence without the the leadership of many great people.
(3) Role of women in India’s Freedom :-The history of Indian Freedom Struggle would be incomplete without mentioning the contributions of women.The Indian women broke away from various restrictions and got out of their traditional home-oriented roles and responsibilities. So, the participation of women in the freedom struggle and National awakening is simply incredible and praiseworthy.
(4)celebrations:-Everyone celebrates Independence day differently. August fifteenth is celebrated as the Independence Day of India. Since 1947, India has been celebrating and would continue to celebrate this day every year. This reminds us of India’s freedom from foreign rule.
